This picture of the floating railroad bridge, which hasn't been used for probably 30 years, is still in the middle of the Erie Canal near the Niagara River. It would swivel to allow boats to go by. There are still some pictoresque boat houses nearby. There were many more, but unfortunately were torn down to accomodate condominiums nearby---as if more are needed to obscure the view of this scenic area.
