We went to Olcott Beach on Lake Ontario for the afternoon, but the beaches were ordered closed by Niagara County due to recent rains and high bacteria count. The area has some cute boardwalk shops and lovely parks. There is a historic carousel as well.

Ohhh a lighthouse I haven't yet seen. We'll have to make a point of going here!
Ontario is really the wonderful spot to spend our time. But, you missed the chance, I think. Very calm places of great lakes will be really enjoyable!
